What makes people popular?? HELP!!?
So I live in Tennessee and every single girl at my high school looks the exact same.
They have really long stick straight hair, they
wear TOMS Shoes or Chacos with socks,
they ALWAYS wear pearl earings, they
always wear Patagonia jackets (those have
somehow gotten really popular) or Columbia
rain coats, and they ALWAYS carry the
same CamelPack waterbottles and they
cover them in stickers from this thing thats
really popular in TN called YoungLife wich is
a church organization thing. They carry their
cameras everywhere and when i walk in the
school all the popular girls are lines up to
take pictures for facebook and they all have
their backs arched and butts sticking out. Is it like this where you live??? Its soooo annoying here!! Im not popular (but somewhere in the middle) and im one of the few people that doesnt look like this. I have really curly blonde hair and green eyes.
Your first sentence is very important — “every single girl at my high school looks the exact same”.
While it isn’t every single girl, I’m sure, the fact that you look different shows you are not a Barbie Doll copy. You are an individual. You stand out, unlike all these girls that are interchangeable. Don’t try to fit in with them. Be your own person, curly blonde hair and green eyes and all. I would bet you will be the one who will succeed because you don’t try to copy this “style”. I know you feel left out, but this is your chance to feel superior to all these girls.
If you talk with your hairdresser about relaxers, you might ease your curls some. But please do not change your looks to fit in with a click.
And check out YoungLife. The one in my town does some fun stuff. These girls really don’t sound like the typical YL members.
